Data Imports

Property Prism supports bulk data imports to help you migrate from spreadsheets or other systems.

Supported formats

• CSV (.csv)
• Excel (.xlsx)

Import process

1. Go to Admin > Imports
2. Select the entity type you’re importing (contacts, buildings, owners, comps, etc.)
3. Upload your file
4. Map your spreadsheet columns to Prism fields
5. Preview the data and confirm
6. The import runs in the background

Column mapping

During import, you’ll map each column in your spreadsheet to a Prism field. The mapper remembers your previous mappings for the same file format, so repeat imports are faster.

Monitoring imports

Active and completed imports appear on the Import Jobs page under Admin. Each job shows:

• Status (running, completed, failed)
• Row counts (total, succeeded, failed)
• Error details for any failed rows

Tips

• Clean your data before importing — remove blank rows, fix formatting inconsistencies
• Start with a small test file (10-20 rows) to verify your column mapping
• Required fields vary by entity type — the importer will tell you which fields are mandatory
